Ta-da! My not-so-super story...condensed

I'm a forty-something, single mother of two.  I'm 5'2" tall and weigh approximately 450 lbs.  I've been heavy most of my life, but the weight didn't keep me from living life to the fullest or feeling self-confident...until a few years ago.  Now, for the most part, I'm apartment-bound and it won't be long before I won't be able to get out of bed.  I'm desperate to get moving and get this weight off before it's too late!  Sadly, I just don't know how I'm going to do it.  I don't have the money for healthy meals, exercise equipment or even transportation.  I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous, but it's true.  I'd love to be able to make some money from home, but I don't even know how to do that (I'm very computer illiterate...as you'll come to find out).  Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a sob story.  I just hope blogging will eventually help me regain my confidence and allow me to feel comfortable writing on this blasted piece of technology.  I guess I'll have to take it from there.

If anyone has a little blogging advice, I'd greatly appreciate it! :)

  1. Thank you for visiting my blog. I realize you are just starting out and I wish you lots of luck through your blogging and health journey.

I've read through the most recent posts and I have to honestly say that, and pleeeasse dont take this the wrong way, mostly what you are writing is excuses on why you can't change and why you are the way you are.

It is time to do something now. A little here and a little there. I realize that change is hard and intimidating especially when people are so set in their ways. I realize that taking on this journey is scary. That is ok. My husbands aunt is in the same boat you are but older and even though she keeps saying she will come with to a meeting she finds an excuse every week. She will soon be bed bound, very soon.

If you want it badly enough, make it happen. Even if you can not afford to change your eating habits all at once start with little steps. Check out Weight Watchers online subscription. Try it for a month, I have seen people, at my meeting, who travel for work and all they eat is fast food, and they still lose weight. (I AM NOT SAYING YOU EAT FAST FOOD)

I am saying MAKE IT HAPPEN
Today is the day. If you want it badly enough You can do it.

  3. No, you did not discourage me. On the contrary, you actually inspired me to want to post a response (albeit not the kindest response...lol). :) Unfortunately, I had a family emergency to deal with followed by a host of physical and mental concerns. I will post soon...although most of what I had originally intended to write has lost it's luster.

  4. Well, congrats ... looks like you got your first troll. Fast food does not =s fat. I eat fast good all the time. I just lost 55 lbs and am now normal weight. There is a movie out there -- fat head -- where the guy ate nothing but fast food for a month and lost 12 lbs. Many bloggers eat veggies and somehow, don't lose weight.

Anyway, I am kind of new to blogging as well.
